On June 5, 2012 QIC Global Infrastructure and LAZ Parking were awarded the Ohio State University Parking System with LAZ Parking overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the system. The terms outlined in the 50 year Concession Agreement called for the operation, enforcement and maintenance of all parking operations in the universities garages, surface lots and metered spaces. Furthermore, the Concessionaire is required to maintain or exceed the level of service historically provided by the university and must fund ongoing capital repairs and improvements as governed by the Concession Agreement. Rate increases are set forth in the Concession Agreement. This transaction marked the first long-term concession of a university parking system in the United States.
