The INDIGO Group and the Ecole des Ing\u00e9nieurs de la Ville de Paris (EIVP) have created a teaching and research chair dedicated to “Circular Urban Infrastructures” (CUI), focusing on the transformation of parking infrastructures to support sustainable urban mobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\r\n\n

The ambition is to offer world-class training and research focused on the current and future uses of parking infrastructures. These are part of the optimization and sustainable management of urban space. <\/p>\n\r\n\n

The result of synergies identified between the Grande \u00c9cole du g\u00e9nie urbain and France’s leading parking infrastructure company, the “Circular Urban Infrastructures” chair is engaged in in-depth research into tomorrow’s urban planning. Among the themes investigated: new urban logistics, the renewal of parking infrastructures, the challenges of multimodality – in connection with soft and carbon-free mobility and city accessibility.<\/p>\n\r\n\n

Built on a common desire to share knowledge and skills, the chair offers a unique approach within the current research ecosystem, combining academic excellence with the wealth of experience and practical skills developed by INDIGO experts over more than 60 years in the parking and mobility sector. This Chair, headed by Youssef Diab, University Professor and Head of Chairs at EIVP, is closely linked to EIVP’s “urban engineering” specialization. <\/p>\n\r\n\n\n

“By joining forces with the leading Grande \u00c9cole for urban issues, which trains tomorrow’s engineers, architects and design and construction experts, we aim to stimulate in-depth, innovative thinking on the many issues facing cities and their inhabitants today. The new challenges of mobility in city centers are leading us to rethink the role and value of our parking infrastructures in a context of urban growth.”<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
